The ILMEA JSGM Division and ILMEA District 1 are pleased to announce that Registration is open for the Singer-Songwriter/Modern Band Festival on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 4-9pm. This opportunity is open to students from any ILMEA district!

We are very excited to be partnering with the Illinois Rock and Roll Museum on Historic Route 66 in Downtown Joliet (9 W. Cass Street, Joliet, IL 60432) for this event. Registration is now open!

Entry is $100 per act, which includes 20 minutes of stage time, a 20 minute clinic, a professional recording, and admission to the museum for performers and families/friends. The studio space is already outfitted with microphones, amps, drums, and keyboards - no need to bring your own equipment! Space is limited to 8 musicians in an act. Students who want to perform with pre-made backing tracks will need to submit the tracks by Tuesday, April 21st.
