  • Rationale for inclusion of ensemble in the clinic

  • Recordings of two pieces demonstrating as much variety as possible.

  • For Show/Swing/Vocal Jazz Ensembles: A video recording of one piece.

  • 3-4 recent programs and 2 letters of recommendation from fellow ILMEA members

  • Demonstration clinic selection is also subject to audition criteria for Performance Group Applications

  • Recordings of two pieces demonstrating as much variety as possible.

  • For Show/Swing/Vocal Jazz Ensembles: A video recording of one piece.

  • 3-4 recent programs and 2 letters of recommendation from fellow ILMEA members

  • Link to your student demographics page from www.illinoisreportcard.com
    Visit www.illinoisreportcard.com, find your school and click on "Students" in the left hand menu; copy/paste the link to that snapshot page into the field on the form. If you are not an Illinois K-12 school you should put “N/A” in this field.

Performance Group Selection Criteria

There must be a 4-year window between group performances, those who apply early will not be considered. Groups who performed in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and are not eligible to apply

Blind recordings will be sent to an anonymous committee of no less than 3 people nominated by the Division President.

Results are ranked; not all ensembles will be selected/qualified to perform.

Selections will be as geographically representative as possible.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.
